Getting to east Lombok

East Lombok is far from the main tourist areas. Driving times are long, so most people visit on a tour or with a private driver.

From Kuta, a road heads east through Praya and the peninsula to Tanjung Luar and on to Pink Beach. From the west coast, add another 1.5 hours through Mataram. For the north-east islands, drive to Transat or Labuhan Pandan, near Labuhan Lombok, and continue by boat.
